This is pure, true, Norwegian Black Metal. Melodic, dark, inspired, tripping, aggressive, hailing the names of VERY old Darkthrone, Gorgoroth and the likes. Varied to the bone between blasts, mid tempos, slower moments, kinda doom breaks as well, Dauden does just a very nice job. There is nothing else which needs to be said : this is a tribute to the old scene. This album doesn’t do any close to originality, but oh boy how great it is. The shadow of Taake or even old Mayhem can be felt there and there. Perfectly crafted, this is Black Metal.
