FLAMES - Resurgence LP

Flames is a legendary Thrash Metal band, formed by Chris Kirk in 1984. Since then they have released many albums and they have participated in many live shows as headliners or guests often next to great bands. The band resides between Athens, Greece and Munich, Germany and since 1984, the band’s lineup has changed several times but always with the Kirk brothers as the core. The current line-up is: Tom Trampouras (guitars, vocals), Chris "R.B. Lee" Kirk (guitars), Andy Kirk (bass guitar) and Nick "Yngve" Samios (drums).

As recently as this November they did a kick ass show at the ABYSS Festival in Sweden - whic truly showed a dedicated Scandinavian crowd for the band - much thanks to the golden line of albums they released in 1985-1989.

The new album "Resurgence" is their first album in over 25 years (!) and the once-leaders of all things Metal in ancient Greece are back in the game, and we must be reckless and foolish to not stop, at least for a few minutes, and listen to what they have to say now. And we’ll do well to do that cause this slab is old school Metal steel to the bone, the guys keeping their hearts still firmly in the classic Thrash sector!
