Though they never rose to a great deal of prominence, Forbidden was one of California's most promising Thrash acts back in the 80s. Bursting through the starting gate with something spectacular, their debut can hold its own against any of the Big 4's more landmark offerings. Taking an energized approach, Forbidden was never as intense as Slayer or as technical as Watchtower but on this album, delivered something that's got its fair share of both intricacy and power. With plenty of personality, forcefulness, and spectacular playing, this disc is one of the strongest releases in the Thrash metal canon.
