GRÄFENSTEIN - Death Born LP

This German band perfectly blends Black and Thrash! This is their 2nd full-length and the sound is razor-sharp, but not shrill and over-trebly. Think perhaps ancient DESTRUCTION albums with a thicker bass and drum sound. The pace on the album is almost entirely fast and faster, but there are a few brief interludes of chugging slower passages. Guitar melodies are also mixed in here to tasteful effect. Everything on here sounds perfect and the vocals are very venomous Black Metal scraping shrieks, with a good deal of variety and varying shades of emotion, that emotion being HATRED! This is an album that can honestly be called vicious in tone.
