Mikko Aspa's take on the genre is a hideous monster of raw, primitive, crushing heaviness light years away from the genre's usual codes. Punctuated by terrifying & disturbing atmospheres that occur very naturally through the plodding, monotone songs; the instrumentation is simple and restrained without need for tricks or flourishes of any kind. All this results in a viciously brutal, sadistic, difficult, yet satisfying record that never feels forced or overplayed despite the genuinely extreme content.
