ENTOMBED - Left Hand Path CD

EAMassively influential debut album from Swedish death metal legends Entombed. The audio on this disc is Full Dynamic Range. Our Full Dynamic Range releases were made in response to the so-called "loudness wars", with the dynamic range of music being restricted more and more in an effort to make it sound louder. These releases, on the other hand, deliver music at its optimum sound level dynamically, leaving the listener to decide on the playback level. In essence, you hear the tracks as they were made and intended to sound, with no loss of quality.

'Left Hand Path' defined the 'Swedish sound' replicated by hundreds of other acts and came to represent the primal death metal sound that was to breakthrough into the mainstream in the early 1990's The band were the first extreme metal band to enter the charts in their native Sweden, before becoming an international success. Formed in the late 80's, Entombed were originally called Nihilist and had a huge reputation on the underground death metal scene. The band toured the world with great success and eventually signed a major label deal with Columbia Records in the mid 90's. Band leader Nicke Andersson left soon after and enjoyed later success with The Hellacopters. Entombed continue to tour and record to this day.
