ILDSKÆR - Blod & Jern LP

On their third album, Danish Historic Black Metal band ILDSKÆR stylistically and equally thematically, continues exactly where they left off: It is still raw and melancholic second-wave black, but despite that, there is a magnificence about the music, which is delivered via both the eminent guitar riffs and the incredibly beautiful and otherworldly organ elements. If you focus exclusively on the music, Ildskær have really pulled themselves together and created a work where they emphasize once and for all that they are musicians and songwriters of excellent quality - this is excellent black metal.
