Two of Norway’s most exciting progressive artists, Jordsjø and Breidablik, come together to celebrate their 10th anniversary in the music industry with an innovative split album titled Kontraster. The album contains two 20 minutes long tracks showing different perspectives and expressions of “contrasts”. Both tracks represent bold exploration of progressive rock's diverse soundscapes, paying homage to the genre's pioneering artists while carving new paths for the future. The two bands have long been known for their ability to blend classic influences with modern sensibilities, and Kontraster exemplifies this mastery. The album is an ode to the diversity of progressive music, showcasing how progressive rock can stretch from lush, atmospheric soundscapes to intricate, driving rhythms, each band bringing its unique flavor to the Project. Finding inspiration in progressive electronic music, Breidablik echoes these sentiments, noting, "For us, Kontraster is a celebration of the diversity within progressive rock.
